Craig Ross, Jr. was born in Boston, Massachusetts. At an early age he and his father moved to the San Francisco Bay area. After graduating high school, Craig went back to the east coast to attend the film school at New York University.

After graduating film school, Craig traveled around the country. He eventually landed in Los Angeles, where he established his production company Asiatic Associates (ASA).

Written and Directed by Craig, in late 2001 was, BLUE HILL AVENUE, a contemporary gangster movie, about the introduction of “crack” into the African- American section of Boston, stars Allen Payne, Clarence Williams III, William Forsythe, Andrew Divoff and Richard Lawson. In it’s World Premiere screening, BLUE HILL AVE won the Audience Award for the Best American Film at the 2001 Acapulco Black Film Festival , The Best Director Award at the 2001 Urbanworld Film Festival, the Audience Award for best film at the 2001 Roxbury Film Festival, and BEST FILM as well as BEST DIRECTOR at the 2001 Jamerican Film Festival in Montego Bay Jamaica. BLUEHILL AVE was released theatrically by Artisan Entertainment in Sept of 2003.

Craig’s next feature film, RIDE OR DIE starring Duane Martin and Vivica A. Fox became an Encore exclusive in 2004. This hip-hop action comedy is about a detective (Martin) who’s best friend, turns up dead and he must turn up the heat to find out who murdered him. The film was just acquired by Sony/Screen Gems for a Spring 2004 release.

MOTIVES was next on Craig’s feature schedule. Shot in Atlanta in the spring of 2003, this erotic thriller stars Vivica Fox, Shemar Moore, Joe Torry, Victoria Rowell, Mel Jackson, Golden Brooks, and Caryn Ward. The project was acquired by Screen Gems for a Spring 2004 release.

Since then Craig has gone on to direct a number of high profile television shows, and has become one of TV’s hottest director,s helming such prime time hits as NUMB3RS, BONES, PRISON BREAK, and STANDOFF for the FOX Network.

Now being hailed in the Hollywood community and capitalizing on the lost art of Noir filmmaking, all of ASI’s endeavors mark the continuing flow of Craig Ross, Jr’s ascent as one of the premiere filmmakers in Hollywood.
